Twila J. Reynolds, age 66, a lifetime resident of Hollis, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 28, 2013, at Harmon Memorial Hospital.
Twila was born in Hollis, Oklahoma on April 28, 1947, to Melvin and Edith Blanche (Murphy) Lee. She grew up and attended school in Hollis. In 1962, Twila married Larry Thomas, and later she married Jack Reynolds in 1975 and they spent twenty-one years together before his death in 1996. Twila worked as a cook at the Westview Boys Home and Colonial Manor for many years before becoming a nurse’s aide for private home health care, where she worked before her health forced her to retire. She was a member of the Hollis Church of Christ. In her free time, Twila enjoyed gardening, making jewelry, arts and crafts, reading, taking care of her cats Buffy and Angel, and spending time with her family and friends.
Preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; one sister, Sharon Stehr and several other family members.
Twila is survived by two daughters, Crystal Dawn Holt and husband David of Hollis and Angela Stoddard and husband Christopher of Gould; five grandchildren, Lindsey Ishcomer and fiancé Michael Tinney of Eldorado, Dylan Perkins of Hollis, Vivian and Calvin Tinney of Eldorado, and Vanessa Perkins of Hollis; three nephews, Michael Freeman of Clinton, Larry Stehr of Altus, and Rodney Stehr of Clinton; one niece Lisa Zepeda and husband Jessie of Altus, two great nephews, Rodney and Jeffrey Stehr; two great nieces, Shara Zepeda and A.J. Sevenstar; two special cousins that were like sisters, Nancy Lea Brewer and husband Roy and Carol Ann Adams along with many other relatives and close friends.
Funeral services for Twila J. Reynolds will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July, 31, 2013 at the Hollis Church of Christ with Ed Stegall and Tommy Caswell officiating. Interment will be at Duke Rock Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home.
