Margaret Leah Young

August 22, 1939 - May 29, 2025

Margaret Leah Young, age 85, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025. She had been a resident of Bartlesville for the past 18 years, but spent a majority of her life in Altus, OK.
Margaret was born on Aug 22, 1939, in Oklahoma City, OK to William Henderson and Beulah Waddle-Henderson. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Oklahoma State University and dedicated her career to helping others as a dietician.
On October 2, 1965, Margaret married John Quincy Young, and they shared a deep and enduring bond until John's passing in 1986.
Margaret loved crocheting in her spare time, spending time with friends, and baking and decorated cakes for special occasions.
She was preceded in death by her husband John, her mother Beulah, and her father William.
Margaret is survived by her three daughters: Eileen Foster, Erin Claiborne and Elizabeth Young; her 5 grandchildren: Jade Powell, Jacob Bowman, Joseph Bowman, Bridget Bowman, and Emma Laliberte. She is also survived by one brother, Patrick Henderson.
In accordance with her wishes, no formal service will be held. Margaret will be laid to rest beside her husband at Restlawn Memorial Park in Altus, OK.
