Wanda Faye (Crow) Caton of Guthrie, OK died Monday January 28, 2013 surrounded by a family who loved her dearly.

She was born in Wittie Community, outside of Holdenville, OK, August 26, 1931, to Odell and Martha Crow. Wanda was a student in Benedict, OK at Pecan Grove & Spaulding Elementary; at a secondary school in Ceres & Keyes, CA; and attended/graduated from High School in Spaulding & Holdenville, OK. She later received a Business/Accounting Associates degree from Seminole State College, which led to a long career in Accounting and Payroll at Shawnee Medical Center. Wanda was a determined, independent, self made business woman never sacrificing her primary role as a mother or love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. Wanda enjoyed traveling and valued her time with family above all else.

Wanda is survived by her daughter Linda Green of Frisco, TX; son J.R. Caton and his wife Benita of Guthrie; daughter Debra Provence and husband Mick of Roff, OK; daughter Karen Lee and husband Mike of Singapore; and daughter Cheryl Bulaw and husband Brian of Plano, TX. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Amy Cochran and husband Michael of Atoka, OK; Kasey Dale and husband Marvin of Guthrie; Bart Conley and wife Mary of Flower Mound, TX; Molly Wehr and husband Kevin of Henderson, NV; John Micah Provence of Roff; Ryan Lee of Vienna, VA; and Caton Lee of Singapore; and a host of great-grandchildren Gabriella, Luke, Maggie, Dru, Beau Tucker, Hannah, Lucy, Ginger, Ezekiel, Makayla, and Matthew. She is also survived by her sister Reba Wood and husband Valton of Cushing, OK and brother Bob Crow and wife Becky of Edmond, OK, as well as countless family she cherished dearly. She was preceded in death by Bud & Emma Idella Grizzle (maternal grandparents) of Holdenville, OK; Odell & Martha Crow (parents) of Holdenville, OK; and Harvey Crow (brother) of Holdenville, OK.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Smith Memorial Chapel and graveside services will take at place 2:00 p.m. at Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville. Services are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie.

Visitation will be Wednesday, 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Children’s Hospital Foundation of Oklahoma, 800 Research Parkway, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.
