Elaine Stigler Thomas, 82, of Fayetteville, Ark., died Thursday, April 30, 2015, in Fayetteville.

Elaine was born July 23, 1932, in Muskogee to William G. and Ona Beller Stigler.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Thomas Mixon of Fort Smith, Ark.; son, Joe Kenneth Thomas and wife Sonja of Poteau; sister, Denyse Stigler Killgore of Fayetteville; nieces and nephews, Lynne Crow of Hot Springs, Ark., Jack Killgore of Vicksburg , Miss., Kay Killgore of Little Rock; four grandchildren, Joshua Mixon, Sarah Mixon, Mallory Mixon and John Thomas Cole.

Elaine was a retired elementary school teacher.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, William G. and Ona (Beller) Stigler, and one daughter, Amanda Thomas Cole.

Burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday, May 11, at Stigler City Cemetery with memorial services at 2 p.m. at Mallory Chapel with the Rev. William O. "Bud" Reeves officiating under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers will be Jack Killgore, Joe Kenneth Thomas, Joshua Mixon, John Thomas Cole, Carl Crow, Adam Crow and Kyle Killgore.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
