Services for David Cecil Ballard, 75, of Ada, formerly of Quinton, OK are
1:00 p.m. Monday, January 24, 2022 at the Greater Refuge Church in Quinton,
Rev. George Mantooth will officiate.
Burial will follow at Brooken Cemetery,
north of Quinton.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 -4:00 p.m.
Sunday at Criswell Funeral Home.
Mr. Ballard passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at an Oklahoma City
hospital.
He was born October 23, 1946 near Quinton, OK to Harold Cecil and
Lillie Wauneta Henson Ballard. He received a degree from Northeastern
Oklahoma State University in Tahlequah.
He married Linda Watts January 12, 1968. Mr. Ballard retired from the
Department of Human Services. Previously, he owned a grocery store and pawn
shop. Mr. Ballard was a member of the Stigler Lodge AF & AM and he was a
Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Linda, of the home; two sons, David H. Ballard,
Tulsa and Stephen Ballard and wife Mabry, Ada; a daughter, Becky Rhynes and
husband Tim, Ada; eight grandchildren, Addison Rhynes Hall and husband
Travis, Garrett Rhynes, Judah Ballard, Olivia Ballard, Mace Ballard,
Channing Ballard, Luke Ballard and Nash Ballard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, Boyd Ballard.
Bearers will be his sons and grandsons. Honorary bearers will be Nash
Ballard, James Franklin, Dennis Robinson, and the high school Class of 1964.
