Charles "Tom" Lake

The funeral for Charles "Tom" Lake, 92, of Laverne, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 4, 2010, at Assembly of God Church, Laverne. The Rev. Wes Peterman will officiate. Burial will be in Willard Cemetery, northeast of Laverne. Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home, Laverne.

He was born Dec. 18, 1917, on the family homestead northwest of Buffalo to Charles and Dorothy Hoover Lake and died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at his home.

He attended school in Ashland, Kan., rural country schools in Sunnyslope and Willard. He was a member of Assembly of God Church.

He married Nadine "Fern" Clyman May 24, 1941, in Alva. She died June 19, 2007. He was a rancher.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews and one brother-in-law.

In addition to his wife, Fern, he was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848, to Willard Cemetery.
