Robert E. "Bob" Allen

June 13, 1918 ~ November 22, 1998

The funeral for Robert E. "Bob" Allen, 80, will be 2 PM Wednesday in First Christian Church. Keven Hookstra will officiate. Burial will be in Willow Creek Cemetery, Paruna, northeast of Buffalo. Arrangements are by Myatt Funeral Home.

He was born June 13, 1918, north of Buffalo to Roy J. and Myrtel Emily Cotter Allen and died Sunday, November 22, 1998, at Grace Living Center in Buffalo.

He was a propane/gasoline dealer and a farmer.

On July 27, 1941, he married Adella Appleton at Buffalo. He was a member of First Christian Church at Buffalo. He was church elder and taught Sunday school. He was a member of Odd Fellows and Lions Club of Buffalo and served on the state LPG board.

Surviving are his wife, Adella; two sons, Larry of Houston and Jerri of Guymon; two daughters, Lavae Downey of Yukon and Janice Barnicoat of Nashville, Tennessee; one brother, John of Elk City, Kansas; two sisters, Mildred Brown of Ashland, Kansas, and Norma Gift of Beaver; six grandchildren; and three great – grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the church, Harper County Community Hospital and/or charity of donor's choice.
