Lee Oran Stinson
June 5, 1955 ~ November 16, 2019

Pastor Lee Oran Stinson, 64 year old minister of the River of Life Church, died Saturday, November 16, 2019 in Woodward. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the River of Life Church. Burial will follow in the Laverne Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home.

Lee Oran Stinson was born June 5, 1955 in Woodward, Oklahoma. He was the son of Shorty and Ima Jean Caldwell. He grew up in Laverne, Oklahoma but later traveled the United States with his family. They returned to Laverne where he graduated from Laverne High School in 1973. He went to work in the oilfield and worked his way up to being a tool pusher. During that time, Lee fell in love at first sight with Jeanne Haskill from Michigan. Lee married Jeanne on July 26, 1975 at Doby Springs Park near Buffalo, Oklahoma and stayed by her side every day. Lee and Jeanne were blessed with four daughters, Emma, Windy, Sarah, and Leesa. Lee and Jeanne were saved in 1980 which changed their lives forever. They began cell meetings at their homes that touched the lives of all who attended. Lee graduated top of his class in 1985 from Word of Faith World Outreach Center Bible College. From there, Lee and Jeanne set out to save and help people. Lee worked in the oilfield, at the Woodward newspaper, and as a milk man but Lee's true passion was for preaching. Lee took every opportunity to preach to people even when he was working at the rig. Lee was a jokester who always got a kick out of "harassing" people, and had a contagious laugh that always followed. Lee loved spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, making people laugh, and talking with people about Jesus. Lee even spent time traveling the world to tell people about Jesus. Lee Stinson was a man of impeccable strength, honor and integrity. He loved Jesus, he loved his wife and he loved his family but he also loved everyone he encountered. Lee never knew a stranger and never treated anyone as less than family. Lee taught everyone around him about God but more importantly how to love and why it was so important. Lee left a legacy that touched more lives that can be counted and will never be forgotten.

Lee was preceded in death by his mom Ima Jean Caldwell, his dad RA (Shorty) Caldwell, his daughter Windy Dawn Stinson, his nephew James Stinson, and his brother Gary Wade Stinson.

He is survived by his wife Jeanne (Haskill) Stinson of the home; his daughters Emma Wilson and husband Joe, Sarah Singhisen and husband Eric, and Leesa Cooper and husband Daniel; seven grandchildren Taylee Stinson and Austin, Tyrzah Stinson and Cordell, Teya Stinson, Ty Stinson, Tayzlee Wilson, Katelyn Singhisen, and Kaleb Singhisen; one great grandchild Jackson Lee Styles; his brother Doc Stinson and wife Louise; his sister Jalonda Knight and husband Joel; his nieces Vicki Barton and husband Chad, Kathrine Barton, Billee Bobo and husband Larry, Cayla Swallow, Kelleia Knight, Hudson Kincaid, Claire Kincaid; his nephews, Leevi Knight and wife Miranda, Gabe Knight and wife Jennifer, Mark Knight, Kade Barton, James Knight, Harrison Swallow and Ian Bobo and Christopher Swallow; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the River of Life Church with the funeral home accepting the contributions.
