Ivo Leon 'Billy' Sizelove

The funeral for Ivo Leon "Billy" Sizelove, 90, of Laverne, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010, at Fairview United Methodist Church, Slapout. The Revs. Mike Mahaffey and Charles Mendenhall will officiate. Burial will be in Laverne Memorial Cemetery. Arran-gements are by Myatt Funeral Home, Laverne. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 2, 1919, on the family homestead in Gate to James Franklin and Myrtle Rebecca Smith Sizelove and died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center.

He attended school in Englewood, Kan., and graduated from Laverne High School in 1937. He was a rancher.

He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church and American Quarter Horse Association for 60 years.

He married Mary Alma Holmes Feb. 25, 1939, in Canadian, Texas. She died May 27, 2007.

Surviving are four sons, Cary Sizelove of Eureka, Ill., Jim Sizelove of Garland, Texas, and Wayne Sizelove and Loren Sizelove, both of Laverne; one daughter, Becky Guffy of Ringwood; 15 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home, Box 909, Laverne, OK 73848, to Fairview United Methodist Church or the local fire department.
