Richard LeRoy Thompson

December 12, 1930 ~ April 8, 2003

Buffalo - The funeral for Richard LeRoy Thompson, 72, will be 2 PM Sunday at First Baptist Church. Gary Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in High Point Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilkinson Funeral Home.

He was born December 12, 1930, at Talmo, Kansas, to Eva Mae and Charles Elmer Thompson, and died Tuesday, April 8, 2003, at Enid.

He graduated from Selman high school in 1950. He was a member and served as Deacon of First Baptist Church of Buffalo, and was a member of Doby Spring Golf Course, bowling league at Laverne and Buffalo Senior Citizens, where he served on the board. He worked for Oklahoma Highway Department in the engineer division, where he retired in 1988.

Surviving are two sisters, Eva Marie Miller of Higgins, Texas, and Daisy Jean Bannister of Garland, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
