She was raised on her family farm in Selman, Oklahoma with her six siblings, and attended the Selman School District until they consolidated with Buffalo Schools in 1968. Arlene had many jobs in the medical field before obtaining her LPN license from the High Plains Technology Center in 1993. She had a caring and giving spirit, and would help anyone in need.

She truly knew no strangers and constantly did little things to brighten everyones day, whether bringing cupcakes and cookies to friends, cooking an amazing meal for loved ones, or providing a shoulder to cry on when needed. Arlene enjoyed spending her free time driving around in her Mustang Convertible with the top down, and creating memories with her grandchildren. Her family, especially her grandchildren, were her whole world.

Arlene is survived by one daughter, Rona Causee of Sharon; one son, Tyson Bussinger and
wife Peggy of Woodward; five grandchildren, William Causee, Elizabeth Causee, Mary Causee, Zachary Ramirez, and Sophee Bussinger; two brothers, Jerry Phelps of Fort Dodge, KS, Willy Phelps and wife Nadine of Dodge City, KS; three sisters, Corene Selman of Woodward, Marlene Renouf of Buffalo, Darlene Drew and husband Marty of Buffalo; numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
