Mozelle Lowder, 94, Died on Monday, November 28, 2016 in Hartley, Texas.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 9, 2016 at Louis Cemetery in Harmon County, Oklahoma ~ Funeral arrangements entrusted to Horizon Funeral Home.

Mozelle Harrill was born in Gould, Oklahoma on February 15, 1922. She was the daughter of J.B. and Erie Harrill. She married Jim Davis in 1940. They had 1 son, Ray and 1 daughter, Dale. They raised their children in Colorado and moved back to Dalhart, Texas in 1958. Jim passed away in 1977, of ALS. Mozelle attended the 1st Baptist Church in Dalhart. Mozelle was active with the church in community service and making meals. After the death of her husband, Jim, she met and married James (Check) Lowder in 1978. After living in Dalhart for one year, they moved to Altus, Oklahoma. Mozelle and Check attended the 1st Baptist Church, where Mozelle continued to serve our Lord in community service. After Check passed away in 1978, Mozelle returned to Dalhart, where she lived until three years ago. At that point, she became a resident at Loreta on the Plains in Hartley, Texas.

Throughout Mozelle’s entire life on this earth, she was a loving caregiver, not only of her church families and community, but of her Mother, both husbands, whom she nursed through ALS and then Parkinson’s Disease.

Mozelle was loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Their greatest comfort comes from knowing that she is in the arms of our Lord.

Mozelle is survived by her Daughter and Son In-law, Dale and Sheldon Proctor of Dalhart, Texas, her sister, Toma Ray Garton of Iowa, her step-children- Jim Lowder and his wife, Tina of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Susan Lowder Daniels of Kirkwood, Missouri, Trisha Lowder Pfitzinger and her husband, Bill, Tom Lowder & wife, Marti of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mozelle is also survived by her grandchildren, Whitney Pfitzinger and Mackenzie Pfitzinger both of Kirkwood, Missouri, Roy Knight of Colorado and Shannon Davis of Amarillo. As well as 8 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Mozelle is preceded in death by her parents, husband- Jim Davis and husband- James (Check) Lowder, her son, Ray Davis, Sisters- Bartie Bryant, Illadale Harrill, Joyce (Twitter) Duncan and her brother- J.B. Harrill.
