Marilyn Jean Bailey, age 47, of Hollis, passed away Monday evening, December 5, 2011, at Harmon County Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Bailey was born on February 12, 1963, in Ft. Worth, Texas to Clyde and Eula Mae (Clark) Bailey. Marilyn grew up and attended school in Ft. Worth and married Bennie Earl Campbell in 1984. In the early 1990s, they moved to Shreveport, Louisiana where Marilyn worked as a nurse’s aide for many years. In 2009, Marilyn and Bennie moved to Hollis, due to her declining health, where they remained until her untimely death. Marilyn loved the time she spent in nursing and helping older people. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and dearly loved her children.
Preceded in death by her parents, she is survived by her husband, Bennie Earl Campbell, of the home, in Hollis; five children, Tyrone, Shantell, Stormy, Nicole and Precious; ten grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Bailey and Betty Bailey; three brothers, Anthony Bailey, Billy Ray Bailey and Clyde Lee Bailey along with many other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services for Marilyn Bailey will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at the Harmon County Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Tyrone Campbell officiating. Interment services will follow at Fairmount Cemetery under the direction of Harmon County Funeral Home of Hollis.
