1933 - 2002
Audrey "Norene" Brundige, 69, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 9, 2002.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Russell Baptist Church in Russell, Okla., with the Rev. Dean Goodfellow and the Rev. Everett Smalts officiating. Burial will be in Russell Cemetery by Greer Funeral Home of Mangum, Okla.

Mrs. Brundige was born Jan. 9, 1933, to Hal and Nora Atwood in rural Harmon County, Okla. She grew up in the Russell and Centralvue communities. She was a graduate of Centralvue High School and attended Cameron and Oklahoma State University.

She married Raymond Brundige of Mangum on April 17, 1953, at the Baptist church in Russell. They enjoyed 49 years of marriage. Their first great-grandson is expected in June.

In 1968 they moved to Amarillo where she worked as a secretary at Southlawn Elementary School. She was a member of Texas Educational Secretaries Association and Paramount Baptist Church in Amarillo. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Jean Miller.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Ragenia Harmon of Mansfield, Texas, Georgia Williams of New Orleans and D'Anna Garcia of Amarillo; six grandchildren, Shawna Cortez, Rae Anna Garcia, Bobby Garcia, Tucker Took, Brett Harmon and Levi Took; three sons-in-law, Tony Williams, David Harmon and Bob Garcia; a sister, Ardella Welch of Duke, Okla.; and two brothers, Norris Atwood of Lawton, Okla., and Deloyd Atwood of Atlanta.
