Funeral services for Coral Inez Locklear, 80, Lawton will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 at Whinery Huddleston Funeral Home with Pastor Lois
Snodgrass officiating.
Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Rock Cemetery west of Granite, OK.
Coral was born January 10th, 1935 in Mayfield, OK to Homer and Winnie (Wooley)
Alexander. She married Harley Locklear Jr. on June 11th, 1953 in Granite,
OK. He passed away in 2011. They made their home in Hollis, OK. where they
had three children. Upon retirement they moved to Lake Ellsworth and finally
settled Lawton. She was a homemaker. That and going to church dominated her
life. Coral�s cooking was considered the Gold Standard for the Hollis area.
Pies and cakes were especially well received by her family and friends. No
meal was unimportant. She even turned sandwiches into gourmet dishes. She
loved her family and God more than words can express.
Coral is survived by a son, Harley Locklear III and his wife, Beth; a
daughter, Kim Glover and her husband, Rudy; three grandchildren, Harley
Locklear IV, Eric Locklear and wife, Hailey, and Courtney Locklear; three
great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Locklear, Jensen Locklear, and Penny Locklear;
two sisters, Ottie Goodwin and Joy Turner; and a brother, Dwaine Alexander.
Ms. Locklear was preceded in passing by her husband, Harley Locklear, Jr.;
parents Homer and Winnie Alexander; son, Gary Locklear, and brothers, Dickie
and Henry Lee Alexander.
