Kevin Dale Pippin, age 40, of Reed, passed away Tuesday morning, July 31, 2012, near Reed.

Kevin was born in Mangum, Oklahoma, on February 8, 1972, to Buddy Dale Pippin and Pamela Jan (Allen) Pippin. Living in Reed, Oklahoma all of his life, Kevin attended Mangum School through the ninth grade when he quit to farm. In 1990, he married Elizabeth Wilson in Wellington, Texas. Kevin worked for several area farmers throughout his life in the Reed community. In his younger days, he enjoyed quail hunting, but for the last several years he has enjoyed spending his spare time coon hunting. His favorite dogs were Luke, Jack and Jill.

Preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lola Allen and Mary Shultz; grandfather, Robert Pippin and his favorite uncle, Billy Allen, he is survived by his spouse Elizabeth Pippin of Oklahoma City; his parents, Buddy Pippin and friend Adel Shrum of Mangum and Jan Hollandsworth and husband Ted of Frederick; six children, Justin Wilson of Oregon, Leah Kay Wilson of El Reno, Summer Dawn Pippin of Oregon; Kevin Dale Pippin, Jr. and fiancée Lizzie of Altus, Tawnya Karee Pippin of Hollis and Chole Christine Pippin of Reed; one granddaughter, Amari Pippin of Altus; one sister, Keva Pippin of Lawton; two grandfathers, Arden Allen of Mangum and Gordon Shultz of Vinson; two nieces, Latisha Pippin and Tamara Drew of Lawton ; one nephew, Aaron Bradford along with many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Kevin Pippin will be at 2 p.m., Friday, August 3, 2012, at the First Baptist Church with Shawn Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the Reed Cemetery under the direction of Greer Funeral Home of Mangum.
