Graveside services for Leon Eugene Soper, 88, Enid resident, will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2020 in the Pond Creek Cemetery Chapel with Pastor Deborah Huskey officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Leon was born on September 25, 1931 in Medford, Oklahoma, the son of Alois and Alice Soper, and passed away peacefully on August 25, 2020 in Enid. He was raised and educated in Medford, Graduating from Medford High School with the class of 1949. Leon was a lifelong farmer in Grant County. He married Pat Mahaffey in Jefferson, Oklahoma in 1951. To this union, three children were born, Dana, Debbie, and Rodney. Leon was a member of the Pond Creek Christian Church. He owned Pond Creek Lumber and built many houses. Leon married Micki Christmas in May of 1997 in Enid. They made Enid their home.

Survivors include Leon’s Wife, Micki of the residence; sons, Dana Soper of Pond Creek, Rodney Soper of Pond Creek, Deryck Christmas of Enid, and Justin Christmas of Columbia, Missouri; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one on the way; Sister, Margie Hybsha of Medford, Oklahoma; brother, Kenneth Soper of Colorado.

Leon was preceded in passing by his parents, daughter, Debbie, brother, Donald, dog, Annie.
