April 16, 1955 - January 10, 2021

Shirley Denise Moore was born April 16, 1955 in Okemah, Oklahoma to Cleveland Newton and Laura Jane Moore. Denise passed away on January 10, 2021. The family moved to Pond Creek in 1964. Denise graduated high school from Pond Creek High in 1974 where she was a member of the Yearbook staff, along with Pep Club, Sports Manager, played basketball and was pep club president. She began her career at St. Mary's Hospital in the Housekeeping Department then went to ICU as a monitor tech, and her final position was a Unit Secretary for Resilience Behavioral Health. Denise loved music, arts and crafts, jewelry, Disney, road trips to anywhere, sitting around the fire with friends and family, gardening, and yard work. She was also entertained by the paranormal shows and the legend of BigFoot. Denise was an avid OKC Thunder fan as well as an OSU Cowboys fan (Larry Halcomb). She also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Denise is preceded in death by her parents Cleve and Jane Moore of Pond Creek and numerous aunts and uncles. She is survived by 3 sisters, Patricia (Ferrell) Morse of Pond Creek, Brenda (Larry) Gibson of Jones, and Jackie Shaffer of Pond Creek. Four nieces, Jennifer (Kevin) Sorrels of Choctaw, Andrea (Jesse) Dillon III of Pond Creek, Sarah Morse of Pond Creek, and Jessica (Jacob) Brown of Jones. She also has four great nieces Isabella, Riley, Jessilynn (Button), Allie and 2 great nephews, Brendan, and Wyatt.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, OK. Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 15, 2021 At the First Baptist Church, Pond Creek, OK, officiated by Pastor Dale Tarp and Pastor Les Washnock. Interment will follow at the Pond Creek Cemetery. Memorials to Pond Creek Firemen and EMS. Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, OK.
