BENJAMIN HARRISTON LeFORCE



Funeral service for Benjamin Harrison LeForce, 64, of Enid, will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Bethel Hawley Baptist Church with Rev. Bob Smith and Rev. Gary Lillie officiating. Burial will follow in Pond Creek Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Ben was born to Henry S. and Betty Ann Harrison LeForce on a wheat farm March 9, 1946, in the Great Plains of Oklahoma and entered his next life on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011.
He became a Christian at age nine and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Nash, Okla.
He is survived by his wife, Paula, of the home; three children, Spencer LeForce and wife Nicole and their three children, Katarina, Kamber and KaLynn LeForce of Pond Creek, Okla.; Amy Kellogg and husband Sam and their three children, Isaac Wilson, Levi Wilson and Konner Kellogg of Shawnee, Okla.; and Scott LeForce and wife Sarah and their son, Michael LeForce, of Mustang, Okla. He also is survived by his brother, Henry C. LeForce and wife Billie Jayne of Pond Creek, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
 Ben began hunting rodents, sparrows and tin cans as a boy and was soon shooting upland game with his father and grandfather.
He attended Nash public school system. His boyhood dream was to hunt “The Big 5” of African dangerous game. It was through this endeavor that he and his wife, Paula, became actively engaged in the safari business.
By the age of 20, he acquired a 30.06 that, over the years, has accounted for whitetails, antelope and other North American game. He also has guided many successful hunts on the family ranch.
As a businessman, his family farm has been developed into one of the premier seed production and marketing companies in the United States. During that time, he received the Oklahoma Premier Seed Dealer Award.
He also was a member of Oklahoma Crop Improvement Association, Oklahoma Grain Inc., The Field Seed Institute, Oklahoma Seed Trade Association, Safari Club International, Dallas Safari Club, International Professional Hunters Association, Professional Hunters Association of South Africa, Endowment member of the National Rifle Association and co-founder of the NRA museum in Washington, D.C.
 Memorials may be made to Bethel Hawley Baptist Church.

Ben’s Final Words — “Do not mourn for me, my friends, for I am in a place of unlimited game with an endless supply of ammunition and a great guide.”
