ENID — Graveside service for Bernard G. Hobbs, 80, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Thursday morning, April 26, 2012, in Pond Creek Cemetery Chapel with Pastors Rick Dominic and Wendyl Glenn officiating.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the United States Army. Service is under the kind guidance of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Vistiation with family will be 5-7 p.m. this evening at Stittsworth's.

Bernard was born April 5, 1932, in Hillsdale , Okla., the son of Marshal and Elga (Moon) Hobbs and passed away peacefully on Monday, April 22, 2012, in Enid.

He moved with his family at an early age to Lamont, where he was raised and educated, graduating from Lamont High School.

Bernard served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1956.

He married Joyce Clark in Miami, Okla., on March 15, 1958.

They moved to Enid, where he was employed as a machinist with Hackney Iron and Steel for 34 years, retiring in 1990.

Bernard was a deacon at Your Family Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce of the residence; son, Phil Hobbs and wife Donna of Enid; grandsons, Chad Hobbs and wife Stacie of Drummond, and Kyle Hobbs and wife Sondra of Choctaw, Okla.; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Daryle Hobbs and wife Roszella of Yukon.

Bernard was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, four brothers and two sisters.

Memorials may be made in Bernard's memory to Your Family Church with the Stittsworth family serving as custodian of the funds.

Graveside services for Joyce Faye Hobbs, 81, Enid, will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. in the Pond Creek Cemetery, with Pastor Rick Dominic officiating. Arrangements are under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

Joyce was born on March 7, 1937, in Taloga, Oklahoma, the daughter of William and Evelyn Clark, and passed away peacefully on January 25, 2019, in Enid. She was raised and educated in Seiling, Oklahoma, graduating from Seiling High School.

Joyce married Bernard Hobbs in Miami, Oklahoma, on March 15, 1958. He preceded her in passing on April 22, 2012. Joyce received her Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She worked at Bass and St. Mary's hospitals as director of nurses. Later, Joyce was a nursing instructor at Autry Tech. Joyce worked a few years as a home health nurse until retirement. Joyce was a member of Your Family Church.

Survivors include her son Phil and wife Donna of Enid; 2 grandsons; 5 great-grandchildren.

The family has requested memorial checks for Joyce be made payable to Your Family Church. Remembrances may be shared at www.stittsworthfuneralservices.com.
