September 23, 1927 - December 23, 2020

Ellen R (Alexander) Henley, 93, of Pond Creek, Okla., was the daughter of James and Viola (Rutz) Alexander. She was born in Canton, Okla., on Sept. 23, 1927, and passed from this life and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday, Dec., 23, 2020, in Perry Okla., with her children by her side.

On Oct. 9, 1952, Ellen and Henry Henley were married in Pond Creek where she made a wonderful life for 61 years as a mother, homemaker and grandmother. She was a member of the Pond Creek United Methodist Church. Ellen enjoyed social clubs, traveling and was an avid reader. She loved to cook for her family and friends and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crochet.

Ellen spent her last seven years as a resident of the Perry Green Valley Nursing Home where she was well loved by all the staff members.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 28, at the Pond Creek Cemetery. Rev. Wendie Jencks-Wilson will officiate. Services are under the direction of Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek, Okla. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Ellen is survived by a sister, Dorothy Caulk of Hennessey, Okla., one son James E Henley and wife Mollye of Perry, Okla., one daughter Sandra J. Jennings and husband John of Stillwater; three grandchildren, Clinton Henley and wife Bailey, Jill Daft and husband Cody, and Allison Riggs and husband James; two step- granddaughters, D'Leisa and husband Randy Graves, and Julie McClure; and 10 great-grandchildren, Olivia, Dalton and Barrett Daft, Graye and Henley Riggs, Tucker, Talon and Tripp Henley, Sydney Graves, and Conner McClure.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband Henry Henley, her parents James and Viola Alexander, her stepmother Mae Alexander, brothers James, Ray Dean and Fred Alexander and sisters Lola Enlow, Elnora Gillum and Darlene Alexander.
