Lila Fae Strait was born December 6, 1934, in Nowata, Oklahoma, to Lester and Nellie Wayman Hutcheson. She went home to her Lord and Savior December 22, 2018.

Fae, her parents, and sisters, moved to Jet when she was a young girl. She was voted "Friendliest" when she was a senior in high school and that clearly carried throughout her adult life. She never met a stranger, her home was always open, and her table always had room for one more.

Fae married Harlan Strait June 26, 1956, at the UMC at Jet. They had three children, Michael, Jerry, and Janila. She adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren beyond measure.

Fae and Harlan traveled Oklahoma, New Mexico, and their favorite, Colorado, camping and looking for the best fishing spot.

Fae is survived by her husband Harlan of the home. Her children, Michael Strait, Duncan; Jerry (B.J.) Strait, Pond Creek; Janila Spruill, Enid; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Kasey) Strait; Shauna Jose; Kassandra (Jesse) Rose; Trae (Janelle) Tucker; Jennifer Tucker; Bill (Karsyn) Tucker; and Stuart Strait.

Her beloved 14 great-grandchildren, Parker and Sadie Strait; Michael; India; Ryan Jose; Boston and Addison Tucker; Dominic Adkins; Montoya Tucker; Briana Turner; Nathaneal Rose; Luccus, Claire and Gavin Tucker.

Fae was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Nellie; two sisters, Esther Marie and Ila Mae; two brothers-in-law, Tom Mead and Orville Canaan.

Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday December 28, 2018, at Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek. Funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Saturday December 29, 2018, at Bethel Hawley Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Lillie and the Rev. Richard Craven officiating. Interment follows at New Home Cemetery, Nash.

Memorials may be made to Jet Volunteer Fire Department.

Arrangements by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek.
