A Celebration of Life for Karen Holt Carris, 61, Enid, is 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at Liberty Southern Baptist Church, with Dr. Jerry Holt officiating. Interment follows in the Fairview Christian Church Cemetery, near Wakita.

Karen was born April 9, 1955, in Enid, the daughter of Jerald and Opal Holt, and passed away Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2016.

Karen was united in marriage to James Carris June 30, 1972, in Enid. She was very active in the real-estate business as a realtor, home builder, and licensed appraiser.

As a child, Karen was a member of the Thunderbirds, and played drums and piano. Karen was a very involved grandmother and rescued many cats.

Survivors include her husband, James; two sons, Sean; and Jason and his wife, Abby; a daughter, Rebecca Kroeker; five grandchildren, Morgan and Kimmy Carris; Hallee, Carson; and Collin Kroeker; four brothers; her mother; and her mother-in-law, Margie Carris.
