Varley, age 60 of Verden, will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, October 23, 2000, at the Pentecostal Church of God of Verden. Varley was born on October 21, 1939 and died on October 20, 2000. Services are under the direction of the McRay Verden Funeral Home © The Chickasha Express-Star Chickasha, Oklahoma October 22. 2000 October 21, 1939 ~ October 20, 2000 Sadie was born the daughter of William J. Gray and Ethel L. Newberry Gray on October 21, 1939 in Verden. She died on October 20, 2000 in Chickasha, at the age of sixty years, eleven months, and twenty-nine days. Sadie grew up on the family farm southwest of Verden and attended Verden School. At the age of fifteen, she moved to Oklahoma City. In the late 1980's, she moved back to Verden to be near her family. Sadie was a very giving person and contributed to many charities such as Feed the Children and the Jesus House. Sadie attended the Pentecostal Church of God, to which she was also very faithful in her giving. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother. Survivors include three daughters, Betty Taylor of Verden, Janet Hensley of Duke, OK., and Nancy Trabert of Verden; brother, Kenneth Gray of Cement; sisters, Dorthey Woods of Springdale, Ar, Carol Schmidt of Stroud, OK, Kathy Hooper of Maryland, and Brenda Anthony of Verden; four grandchildren, John Jones, Nathan Hensley, Taylor Trabert, and Mariah Trabert. |
