Chickasha, Oklahoma December 2020 March 3, 1970 ~ December 16, 2020 Shawn Dale Singleton was born to Judy Martin Singleton and Larry Dale Singleton on March 3, 1970 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He entered Heavens gates on December 16, 2020 at Grady Memorial Hospital in Chickasha, OK after a hard fought battle of Covid-19. Shawn attended Verden Public Schools from Kindergarten thru 12th grade. He graduated with the class of 1989. Shawn attended college at Redlands in El Reno and SWOSU in Weatherford. Shawn worked in the oilfield for over 25 years most of the time with H&P. Shawn married the love of his life Tracey Lynn Burkhead on December 30, 1995 in Verden, OK. They were going to celebrate 25 years of marriage this month. They made their home and farmed on the family farm near Cogar, OK. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Linda Kibby Burkhead, niece Danika Lou Harris, parental grandparents Walter & Myrtle Singleton, and maternal grandparents Herbert & Dorthy Martin. Shawn is survived by his wife Tracey of the home, Chase Singleton a recent graduate of Oklahoma State University and lives in Edmond, OK, Chance Singleton a student of Oklahoma State University and serves with the Army National Guard and his baby girl Chelsey of the home. Shawn is survived by his parents Larry & Judy of Pocasset, father-in-law Royce Burkhead and wife Patty of Verden, OK, sister Shana Singleton of Verden, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Donitta & Dylan Harris of Pocasset, brother-in-law Greg Burkhead of Kansas, nieces & nephews Colton & Shaylea Haxton, Devynn & Delaney Harris, Courtney, Brayden, and Haley Barr-Burkhead, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Private services will be at 2pm Monday December 21, 2020 at First Baptist Church Pocasset. David Treadaway will officiate assisted by Dwayne McGhghy. Interment will be in Verden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. |
