Chichasha, Oklahoma Novembe 2018 April 5, 1951 ~ November 17, 2018 Funeral service for Robert Joseph Rempe, 67, of Anadarko, OK, will be held 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 23, 2018 at Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha. Pastor Kim Hayes will officiate. There will be a Rosary Service at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at McRay Funeral Home. Robert was born the son of Carl Joseph Rempe and Catherine Theresa Divine Rempe on April 5, 1951 in Chickasha, OK. He died on November 17, 2018 in Chickasha. Robert grew up in the Chickasha area on the family farm. He was an active member in FFA, showing livestock and ag mechanics. He graduated from Chickasha High School in 1969 and furthered his education at USAO for two years. After college, he went into farming and carpentry. He married the love of his life, Jeanne Russell in 1972. Robert started working in the oilfield in 1979, later becoming a machinist in 1988 until his retirement in 2015. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending every moment he could making life-long memories with his wife, children and grandchildren. He always had a story or a word of wisdom to share with everyone. Robert was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Catherine Rempe; his sister Helen Rempe and his brother Carl A. Rempe. Robert is survived by his wife Jeanne Rempe; son Michael Rempe and wife Lori; daughter Alicia Moss and husband Les; son Jonathan Rempe and wife Monica; brother Charles Rempe; sister Betty Lagaly; sister Theresa Rempe; sister Mary Rempe; brothers Edward Rempe and Donald Rempe; seven grandchildren Logan, Gavin, Willow, Jacob, Grace, Maggie and Jared; mother-in-law Phyllis Russell; sister-in-law Cari Taylor and husband Elton; sister-in-law Patti Smith; and numerous extended family. Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home. |
