Charles Alexander "Charley" Niday
November 3, 1886 ~ January 2, 1986


VERDEN ~ Services for Charley Alexander Niday, 99, of Verden will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Verden First Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Lind of Lexington and the Rev. Burl Mackey of Verden officiating.

Burial will be in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of the Hansen-Binyon Funeral Chapel of Verden.

Niday was born November 3, 1886 in Galena, Kan., and died today in Chickasha.

He married Grace Marie Trimble November 30, 1906 in Cement.

They moved to Verden in 1919 and Niday farmed there until his retirement in 1954.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Verden and served as a deacon for over 60 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marie, of the home; one daughter, Thelma Walker of Mountain View; two grandsons, Troy Hodges of Dallas and Charles McClure of Carlsbad, N. M.; two granddaughters, Jodi Lewis of Mountain View and Rita Paul of Altus and 10 great grandchildren.
