Doris Mae [Kelly] Munger
June 21, 1941 ~ June 5, 2003


Memorial service for Doris Mae Munger, age 61, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2003, at the Northside Church of Christ. Doug Sikes will officiate.

Doris Mae Munger was born the daughter of Roy Kelly and Dona Walker Kelly of June 21, 1941, in Elgin, Oklahoma. She died on June 5, 2003, in Chickasha.

Doris grew up and attended School in Verden, Oklahoma. She married George Munger on June 21, 1973, in Vernon, Texas.

They would have celebrated their 30th anniversary this month. Doris devoted her life to being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a faithful Christian and a member of the Northside Church of Christ. Doris loved her church family very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include: husband: George Munger of Chickasha; son: Elvin Munger of Salina, Kansas; son and wife: James and Lela Munger of Chandler; daughter and husband: Regina and Ray Nabors of Chickasha; twin sister and husband: Joyce and John Hewett of Jacksonville, North Carolina; sister: Bonnie Owings of Doniphan, Missouri; sister and husband: Pat and Bill Snelson of Lone Grove; sister and husband: Linda and Kenneth Franklin of Burleson, Texas; brother and wife: Roy and Trisha Kelly of Sulphur; sister and husband: Gloria and John Banic of Waynesboro, Virginia; sister and husband: Sheila and Roy Robertson of Granbury, Texas; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

George Dewitt Munger
September 22, 1941 ~ November 20, 2005


Memorial service for George Dewitt Munger, age 64, of Chickasha will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2005, at the Northside Church of Christ. Doug Sikes will officiate.

George was born the son of Elvin Dewitt Munger and Katy White Munger on September 22, 1941, in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas. He died on November 20, 2005, in Chickasha.

George grew up in Arkansas. He graduated from high school in Bald Knob, Arkansas and attended Southern Arkansas University. He then transferred to Arkansas State University, where he completed his degree. After graduation, he taught for one year then began working in construction.

George worked in construction the rest of his life. For the past several years, he was a building inspector for Lockheed Martin. George was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.

George was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Munger; son, Elvin Munger; and brother, W. C. Munger.

Survivors include: Son; James Munger of Oklahoma City; daughter and husband: Regina and Ray Nabors of Chickasha; sister: Wanda Emde of Balk Knob, Arkansas; sister: Elva Harper of Jefferson City, Tennessee; brother: Samuel Munger of Bald Knob, Arkansas; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lewis Cemetery, 88 Cross 122, Hick Ridge, Arkansas 72347 or the Northside Church of Christ.

Services are under direction of the McRay Funeral Home. Viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
