Eliza Louisa "Lou" [Goins] Jones Moser
September 4, 1865 ~ August 14, 1966


Verden - Funeral service for Mrs. Lou Eliza Moser will be held at 2:30 pm Wednesday in the First Baptist Church with Rev. L. D. Wilkes, assisted by Rev. Kenneth Barnett, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Moser was born September 4, 1865 at Subiaco, Logan County, Arkansas. She died Sunday in Grady Memorial Hospital.

She was married to John Jones in Boonville, Ark. in 1890 and then married Nelson Bennett Moser in 1898, moving to Oklahoma in 1899. He died in 1919.

Mrs. Moser has lived in the Verden area since 1937 and was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by six children, Mrs. Minnie Chasteen of Porterville, Calif; Mrs. Bertha Johnston of Coolidge, Ariz; Philip H. Moser of Lorraine, Texas; Mrs. Ollie S. Cole and Bert Moser, both of Verden, and Charlie Moser of Oklahoma City, Ok; 51 grandchildren, 133 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Maude Miles of Checotah, two brothers, Jim Goins of Checotah, and John Goines of Forth Smith, Ark.

Music for the funeral service will be by Mr. and Mrs. Chester Heavin, Mr. and Mrs. Estes Shadoan. Mrs. Ersel McNabb will be accompanist.

Pall bearers will be Benny Kanouse, Lawrence Winn, Fred Abbott, Broy Lee, Everett Jackson, Don Brown, Paul DeBoard and S. A. Cox.

Interment will be in Verden Cemetery under direction of Hansen Funeral Home.
