© The Verden News Verden, Oklahoma January 9, 1931 November 1, 1874 ~ January 5, 1931 Margaret Osborne was born at the Anadarko Kiowa Agency, November 1, 1874, died at her home three miles west of Verden Monday January 5, 1931, age 56 years, two months and four days. She was married to S. J. McLane in June 1894, and to this union was born six children, three boys and three girls, Jackson McLane, Charley, Tim C., Mrs. Anna Molina, Mrs. Grace Taylor and Sudie Dysart, and eight grandchildren, all of whom survive her excepting Charley, who preceded her three years ago. In addition to her children and grandchildren she is survived by her husband, S. J. McLane, two brothers, John Osborne, Charley Pruner and one sister, Mattie Sturm and H. P. Pruner, her stepfather. She united with the Baptist Church at Verden July 19, 1914 and was a life long member of it. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church in Verden Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock p. m., conducted by the Rev. Taylor and interment was made in the Verden cemetery. © The Verden News Verden, Oklahoma January 13, 1928 January 11, 1900 ~ January 8, 1928 The home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack McLane, who reside about six miles west of Verden was made very sad Sunday, when their son Charles accidentally killed himself with a gun. It was reported to us that he and a sister were riding home together when Charles saw some birds he said he was going to shoot, and in getting the gun it discharged, killing him instantly. Charles Patrick McLane was born January 11, 1900 and departed this life January 8, 1928, reaching the age of 27 years, 11 months and 27 days. The funeral was held here at the Baptist church Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Taylor in charge of the funeral services. There was a large crowd in attendance and a very beautiful floral offering displayed. Charles was one of Verdens popular young men among the young people, one of his boy friends sang a beautiful solo at the funeral service. He leaves to mourn his departure, his mother and father, three sisters and two brothers, a host of relatives and friends. © The Verden News Verden, Oklahoma 11 April 1958 October 12, 1902 ~ April 8, 1958 TIMOTHY C. McLANE SERVICES HELD TODAY Funeral services for Timothy C. McLane, brother of Jack McLane, Sr., will be held at the First Baptist Church, Anadarko, at 2 p.m. today, April 11. Burial will be in the Verden Cemetery. Mr. McLane passed away Tuesday, April 8, following a heart attack at Veterans Hospital, Muskogee. He had undergone amputation of a leg last Friday and apparently was recovering satisfactorily until he suffered a series of heart seizures Tuesday. Hi lives in Anadarko prior to military service in World War II. He has been making his home in Kansas City. Survivors include one brother, three sisters, Mrs. Grace Taylor, Anadarko; Mrs. Anna Buckley and Mrs. Sudie Dysart, both of California and two nephews, Joe Molina of California and Fred Molina of Victoria, Texas. Among the relatives here for the services are Mrs. Buckley, Mrs. Dysart, Joe Molina and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Molina. Charles Patrick McLane was the brother of Anna [McLane] Molina, Grace [McLane] Taylor, Sudie [McLane] Dysart, Timothy C. & Jackson McLane, and Grandson of Elihu Burgin Osborn & Lucy Jane [Beaver] Osborn Pruner.
