Florance Dorthey [Ryans] Malone
April 24, 1918 ~ July 14, 1978


Funeral service is pending at Sevier Funeral Home for Mrs. Florence D. Malone, 60, 628 North 10th.

Mrs. Malone was born April 24, 1918, in Mountain Park. She died Friday in her home.

Mrs. Malone has been a resident of Chickasha for eight years, moving her from Long Beach, calif., where she had lived about 10 years. Prior to moving to California she had lived in the Verden and Chickasha area.

She and William F. Malone were married on May 1, 1934, in Verden.

Survivors include her husband, William F. of the home; three daughters, Mrs Bertha Robinson and Mrs. Dorthey Mealer of Chickasha and Mrs. Jean Beavers of Buckeye, Ariz.; two sons, Bill Malone of Verden and Cecil Malone of Landers, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs Bessie McCormick of Chickasha and Mrs. Doris Blevins of California; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral service for Mrs. Florence D. Malone, 60, 628 North 10th, was at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Rev Billy Adams, pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church, officiated.

Organ interludes were played by Mrs. Frieda Young. Soloist was Mrs. James Elston.

Pallbearers were: Dan Mealer, Danny Mealer, Darrell Mealer, Bobby McMullin, Joe Romero and Ralph Nixon.

Interment was in the Verden Cemetery.

William Francis "Frank" Malone Jr
January 12, 1939 ~ August 6, 1993


Private funeral service will be held for William Frank Malone, 54, Chickasha. He was born January 12, 1939, in Verden, the son of William F. Malone Sr. and Florence D. Ryans. He died Friday, August 6, 1993 at his home in Chickasha.

Mr. Malone lived in Verden most of his younger life before moving to Chickasha.

He had worked in the oilfield.

He married Martha Slaton on August 8, 1977, in Texas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Florence Dorthey Malone, in 1978. Survivors include his wife, Martha Ann Malone of Chickasha; one daughter, Donna Smith of Perry; his father, William Francis Malone Sr of Chickasha; one brother, Cecil Malone of Boise, Idaho; three sisters, Bertha Robinson, Dorthey Mealer, both of Chickasha, Jean Beavers of Glendale, Ariz; six stepchildren; 14 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
