Funeral service for Venita Treva Lee Long, age 89 of Chickasha, Ok, will be held at 2pm on Thursday, April 26, 2018 in the Verden First Baptist Church.

Venita Treva was born the daughter of John Oscar Waters and Nellie Jackson Waters on January 30, 1929 in Vian, Oklahoma. She died on April 23, 2018 in Chickasha. She was a homemaker.

Treva grew up in Sallisaw, Oklahoma and attended Watts School outside of Sallisaw. She later moved to California where she met Kennard Long. They were married on Dec 3, 1946 in Bakersfield, California. She moved back to Sallisaw for ten years, then moved to Anadarko and spent the last 20 years in Chickasha. Treva was a member of the Midway Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Nellie Waters, her husband Kennard on September 29, 1992, five brothers, and five sisters.

Survivors include her eight children Kenneth and Marietta Long, Barbara and Steve Sandilous, Sondra Gerlt, Alpha Fitch, Wyota and Terry Jensen, James Long, Glenda and Tommy Pendley, and Billy Long; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister Juaneve Bryant.

Interment will be in the Verden Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
