Chickasha, Oklahoma April 2010 May 25, 1913 ~ April 16, 2010 Ersel was born the daughter of Walter and Lula Moore Brown on May 25, 1913, in Stecker, OK. She died in Chickasha, OK, on April 16, 2010. She married Otis Lee McNabb and they had one daughter, Marla Jo. They made their home in Verden, OK. Otis preceded her in death in 1958. Ersel married Floyd Kidwell on November 26, 1969 in Wichita Falls, TX. They resided in Verden, OK. Ersel taught school after obtaining her teaching degree from USAO in Chickasha. She taught in several country schools near Carnegie and Verden. She began teaching in Verden in 1961 and retired in 1980. She was a talented teacher and also organized singing groups with students who she had perform at numerous organizations as well as at the state fair. One group was called "The Country Kids" who had matching clothes and sang while Ersel played the piano. Ersel was a long time member of the First Baptist Church of Verden. Ersel was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Otis McNabb, three sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include: Husband Floyd Kidwell, daughter Marla Jo Brown, grandsons-Kevin and Jody, and five great grandchildren. |
