Martin "Casey" Henry was born the son of Ben Henry and Pearl Shaw Henry on January 18, 1914, in Verden, Oklahoma. He died on August 4, 2003, in Chickasha.

Casey married Ora Viola Brookshire on April 29, 1932. After their marriage, they lived in Bradley, Oklahoma, for one year, then moved to Verden, where they lived their remaining seventy years together.

After losing his voice to cancer surgery in 1954 at the age of forty years old. He and Ora gave their lives to the Lord three years later in November of 1957. They helped found the Pentecostal Church of God in Verden, where Casey was the Sunday School Superintendent for twenty-six years, missing only one Sunday morning service during that period of time. He remained an active member of the church for forty-five years.

Casey had a great love for his family and it was very important to him that they all live for the Lord. He would pray for each and every one every morning before stating his day. His heart and home were always open, where he was father and grandpa to many.

In his high school days, he also had a passionate love for poetry and attended many state speech contests where he won many awards. In his early years, the whole family picked cotton during the great depression days in California.

Later, he became a well-known carpenter and raised cattle part-time.

Casey enjoyed raising a big garden every year and took pride in his big watermelon patch. He loved being able to share his harvest with friends and family. Casey also enjoyed fishing in the Washita River behind his house and then would gather family and friends for a big fish fry in the back yard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ora, his parents, two sisters, Ruth Hatfield and Mattie (Jack) Baker, two brothers, Roy (Buck) Henry and Ernest (Runt) Henry.

Survivors include: daughter: Novella Tasker of Del City; son: Donald Henry of Midwest City; son: Bobby Joe Henry and wife, Barbara of Anadarko; sister: Daisy Bruce of Chickasha; sister: Pearl VanBuskirk of Verden; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; fifteen great, great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; host of loving friends.
