Timothy Lee Pinkston

Funeral service for Timothy Lee Pinkston, 51, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Saturday, August 21, 2004, at the First Baptist Church of Ninnekah.

Timothy Lee Pinkston was born March 18, 1953, in Arkansas, the son of Chester and Athleen (Tipton) Pinkston, and died Tuesday, August 17, 2004, in Chickasha.

Tim worked in the oilfield for over 30 years. He fought oil fires after Desert Storm at Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, Iran and Saudi Arabia. Tim continued to work overseas for Santa Fe Drilling for 10 years after the First Gulf War. He then went to work for Chesapeake Drilling. He had lived in the Chickasha area for 25 years.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Tammy Pinkston, September 9, 1995; wife, Marva Pinkston, February 21, 2004; mother, Athleen Pinkston, January 27, 2003.

Survivors include one daughter, Kimberly Pinkston of Chickasha; future son-in-law, Mike Friton of Chickasha; one grandson, Devin Pinkston of Chickasha; future grandson, Ty Friton of Chickasha; father, Chester Pinkston of Chandler, Oklahoma; one sister, Brenda Green of Florida; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bob and Imogene Carpenter of Booker, Texas; sister-in-law ahd her husband, Bobbie and Rick Russell of Booker, Texas; five nephews.

Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
