Gene A. McNatt

Funeral services for Gene A. McNatt, 65, of Ninnekah will be held Monday, May 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m., in the Epworth United Methodist Church with Kim Domnick officiating.

Gene A. McNatt was born May 6, 1941, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Paul and Mary Moore McNatt. He died Thursday, May 18, 2006, at his home in Ninnekah.

Gene married Rosemary Royal on September 28, 1959, in Miami, Oklahoma. This union blessed them with their three sons.

Gene's career was in the filter manufacturing business. Starting in December 1959, in Tulsa, with Warner Lewis Company, Fram Corporation, and Facet Enterprise. He was plant manager and involved in building Facet Emterprises in Stilwell, Oklahoma, on land leased from the Cherokee Nation. He was founder and owner of Re-Nu Air Filter in Stilwell, before moving to Chickasha to help build and operate Fleetlife Incorporated. He then founded and built Royal Filter Manufacturing Company.

He retired in 2000, to spend more time on his ranch. He was a past member of the Broken Arrow Jaycees, Wagoner Jaycees and president of the Stilwell Chamber of Commerce.

He was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Chickasha Country Club, and the Chickasha Elks Lodge.

He loved to fish, hunt, ski, play golf, and sing.

He was preceded in death by both parents; brother, Paul McNatt, Jr. [Pete]; and sister, Linda Kay McNatt.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; three sons and daughters-in-law: Gary and Delania, Glenn and Brenda, and Garett [Fred] and Allison; seven grandchildren: Callie, Aaron, Brian, Tyann, Austin, Justin, and Kyle; five brothers: Carl, Ralph, Lonnie, Tony and Cecil; two sisters, Joyce Barnwell and Reba Harris; and two God children: Jennifer Royal and Brandy Morris.

Gene was very inspirational to his family. Besides working together, they loved to camp, fish, hunt, golf, and ski.

He will be greatly missed by all. We love you Mr. McNatt, Babe, Dad, and Grandpa.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Epworth Family Life Center or to the Chickasha Elks Lodge Building Fund.

Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
