Funeral services for Gertrude "Amy" McAdams, 84, of El Paso, Texas were held at 4:00 P.M., on December 1, 2006, in El Paso, Texas.
Gertrude McAdams was born March 17, 1922, in Bleistadt, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Joseph and Elisabeth [Dorfler] Bartl. She died November 28, 2006, in El Paso, Texas.
Amy grew up and attended schools in Czechoslovakia. She came to the United States in 1950 and became a naturalized citizen.She married George McAdams on December 4, 2003, in El Paso. Texas.
She was a long time member of the El Paso American Legion and VFW. She loved Bingo, and was a "Champion Bingo Player".
She was preceded in death by both parents; two husbands: Edwin Hermann and Marvin Aronson; daughter, Beatrice Bartl; grandson, Jeff Holly; and three brothers.
Survivors include husband, George, of the home; three daughters: Eveline Hare, of Oklahoma; Linda Kerr, of Utah; and Jan Hamrick, of Mississippi; three grandsons: Billy Hare, Jr., Michael Kerr and Nick Kerr; two granddaughters: Deanna Hare and Jessica Holly; two great-granddaughters: Crystal Miller and Savannah Holly; two great-great- granddaughters: Kyla Gregory and Mikala Miller; two sisters: Milli Zsidi and Anni Bartl; and many nieces and nephews.
Private interment was held in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
