Elk City Newspaper Elk City, Oklahoma January 16, 1930 1903 ~ January 15, 1930 MRS. MINTER TO SON'S FUNERAL. Mrs T. J. Minter, resident of this city for the past few weeks, received word this morning that her son, Ed Beasley, was killed Tuesday in a gasoline explosion in the Oklahoma Natural Gas Company pump station in Britton. Further details of the accident was not learned. Mrs Minter said. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon in Chickasha. Mr Beasley leaves his wife, Mrs. Beasley, and one small daughter, his mother, Mrs Minter, and six brothers. << Beasley Funeral Today - The body of Edgar Beasley, 26 years old, Britton, killed Wednesday in an explosion on the No. 1 Alice Bodine lease near Bodine City, was sent to Chickasha late Wednesday night for burial Thursday. Street & Draper funeral directors said. Beasley, chart reader for the Oklahoma Natural Gas Corp., was killed when a drip box on an oil pipe line exploded. << Edgar Beasley, 26, was killed by an explosion in the oil field, near Bodine City, Wednesday morning. His home was in Britton. He is survived by his wife, one child, his father, mother and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at Chickasha Friday afternoon. Announced by Street and Draper. |
