Thelma Harriet [Elliott] Anderson

Thelma [Nanaw] Anderson, preceded in death by her father, Clyde Elliott and mother, Elizabeth Holcomb Elliott, her first husband Everett Anderson, second husband Oris Lemons, and her late husband James Steel. Her daughter, J. Joan Hackney, her sons, Elliott Anderson, William (Bill) Anderson and her grandson, Phillip Hackney, two sisters, Georgia Helen Elliott, and Julia Beck and deceased brother, Raymond Elliott.

She is survived by three brothers, Brooks Elliott, Dale Elliott, and Clyde Elliott, and four sisters, Lucille McCarthey, Marjorie Ballard, Bessie Cummings, and Vergie Bridges. She is survived by grandchildren, Linda Kennedy, Debra Berry, Craig Anderson, Laura Word, James Anderson, and Donna Tilman. She is also survived by great- grandchildren Michael Kennedy, Michelle Kennedy, Chad Berry, Lindsey Berry, Laura Anderson, Jeff Glassco, Meagan Glassco, James Elliott Anderson, Erin Jennings, Shawn Uits, David Anderson, Anna Anderson, Wesley Anderson, Whitney Stewart, Delaney Word and numerous neices, nephews and friends.

She was 89. She was born March 8, 1910 in De Queen. Arkansas. She died May 11 1999 in Oklahoma City.

Thelma was very caring and generous to charitable organizations.

She was a member of Eastern Star, Brookwood Baptist Church and several women organization.
Thelma died from of injuries incurred in the tornado on May 3, 1999.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Brookwood Baptist Tornado Relief Fund, 8921 S. Walker Okla. City, OK.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday May 14, 1999 at Brookwood Baptist Church with interment at the Ninnekah Cemetery.
