© Eisenhour Funeral Home Blanchard, Oklahoma August 1, 2012 September 17, 1936 ~ August 1, 2012 De Roy Ryans went to be with his Savior August 1, 2012 at his daughter's home in Blanchard. He was a man of amazing faith and held his family together with a love that knew no bounds. De was born September 17, 1936 in Cement, Oklahoma the fifth of 11 children born to Hamp and Ollie Ryans. De married Glenda Maye Whaley December 24, 1958 in Verden, Oklahoma. From their union came three daughters: Janet, Annette and Kim, followed by 27 grand and great grandchildren. De worked as a master carpenter until he and Glenda started "Nuthin But Country" in 1984, and De retired from Ace Hardware in 2002. He loved fishing and building furniture and spent a lot of time in his shop, on his tractor, and working to refurbish his boat. "One link broken on earth; another link added in heaven". He is preceded in death by his parents, Hamp and Ollie [Cornell] Ryans; infant sister, Katherine; four brothers, Johnny Ryans, Tooter Ryans, Marvin Ryans and Herman Ryans; and grandson-in-law, Corey Patterson. De is survived by his wife, Glenda [Whaley] Ryans of the home; three daughters and their spouses; Janet and Richard Pettijohn, Annette and Mike Smith, and Kim and Terry McLead, all of Blanchard, Oklahoma; 27 grand and great grandchildren, Cindy [Pettijohn] and Landon Lewis and children, Jenna and Cameron, Destiney [Smith] and Kendall Margerum and children, Tyler and Kinsey, Jarred and Shambra Pettijohn and children, Emily and Weston, Cheyenne Smith, Rebecca [McLead] and Chris Singley and children, Sadie and Nathan, Tara McLead and Chris Ratliff and child, Austin, Dena [Pettijohn] and Ryan Tauriainen, Brittanie [Smith] and Cory Trujillo and child, Alexia, Samantha McLead, and Shauna McLead; three sisters and their spouses; Juanita and Mickey Snider of Cyril, Oklahoma, Virginia and Freddie Humphreys of Lewiston, Idaho, and Lorene and Constintino Sousa of Galt, California; two brothers and their spouses, Alvin and Gladys Ryans of Ninnekah, Oklahoma and Allen Ryans of Duncan, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Landon Lewis will officiate with interment held in the Laverty Cemetery. Rush Springs, Oklahoma March 2019 January 15, 1940 ~ May 23, 2011 Claude Junior Bernell Ryans was born on January 15, 1940, in Cement, Oklahoma to Claude Anderson Ryans and Mittie Cornell Ryans. He died on Monday, May 23, 2011 at home in Rush Springs. Claude grew up in the Chickasha area and attended a number of local schools. He married Gayle Lynn Showalter on May 17, 1963, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He owned and operated Ryan's Salvage until 1982. Claude loved antique cars, flea markets, and tinkering. He was in his element taking things apart and puting them back together. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ninnekah, Oklahoma. He adored his family and was incredibly generous, loving and talented. He was preceded in death by both parents; two sons, Ricky Ryans and Gary Ryans; and six siblings, Wesley Ryans, Cecil Ryans, Aubrey Ryans, Billy Earl Ryans, Cynthia Harris and Thelma Ryans. Survivors include: wife, Gayle, of the home; two sons, Shannon Ryans of Rush Springs and Randy Ryans of Ninnekah; one daughter, Linda Ryans-Sain and husband, Andy, of Chickasha; three sisters, Stella Carlisle of Chickasha; Ella Mae Scribner and husband, Earl, of Coleman, Oklahoma and Grace "Gracie" Gann and husband, Terry, of Coleman, Oklahoma; two sisters-in-law, Holly Ryans of Cement, Oklahoma and Christine Ryans-Ward of Chickasha; twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and very special friends Bobby and Dedra McMullen. |
© Eisenhour Funeral Home Blanchard, Oklahoma May 2018 March 18, 1944 - May 15, 2018 Glenda Maye (Whaley) Ryans, 74, went to be with her Savior on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at her home in Blanchard. The daughter of Wade Hilden Whaley and Ruby Maye (Mills) Whaley, she was born March 18, 1944 in Holdenville, Oklahoma. Glenda married De Roy Ryans on December 24, 1958 in Verden, Oklahoma. They opened a retail store, “Nuthin But Country”, in 1984. She also worked many years for Hobby Lobby and Mardel Christian Book Store. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting, genealogy, and spending time with family. She was a great cook and made the best lemon meringue pie and chocolate gravy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, De Roy Ryans; a sister, Jeannie Whaley; and a brother, Glen Whaley. Glenda is survived by her three daughters and their spouses; Janet and Richard Pettijohn, Annette and Mike Smith, and Kim and Terry McLead, all of Blanchard, Oklahoma; 32 grand and great grandchildren; and many other loved ones and friends. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Laverty Cemetery. |
© Ferguson Funeral Home Chickasha, Oklahoma October 2019 December 19, 1980 ~ October 26, 2019 Graveside services for Tony Lynn Ryans, 38, of Chickasha, will be held at Laverty Cemetery. Tony Lynn Ryans was born December 19, 1980 in Marlow, Oklahoma to Billie Earl Ryans and Holly Zanzel [Simmons] Ryans. He passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Tony grew up in Cement and graduated from Cement High School in 1999. He then studied Electronic Engineering at Grantham University. He had done construction, electrical, and oilfield work. In August of 2013, he married the love of his life, Stacey Ann Thompson in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Tony loved classic cars and hotrods. He also loved Dr. Pepper. Tony had a quick wit and a sarcastic sense of humor. He had a heart of gold and would give you the shirt off his back. At a recent fundraiser for his medical bills he expressed that he wanted to give someone else part of what was raised. He was such a gentle and giving soul. The Native meaning for Tony’s name is “Spirit Warrior.” As an example of his “I’ll show you attitude” back in 1995 he had a 2% chance at living after he almost died in a car accident, but he overcame it and enjoyed life for the next 24 years. He loved his best friend, Ronnie and always looked forward to their time spent together. He loved his kids and enjoyed picking on them and taking them to Nanny’s for Sunday lunch. Tony was greatly loved and will be missed by many. He was preceded in death by his father, Billie Ryans, his brother, Clay Ryans and his grandparents, TB and Rena Simmons and Mittie Ryans. Survivors include his wife, Stacey of the home and children, Hailey, Makenley, Adelynn and Braxton Ryans also of the home; daughter, Makila of Ninnekah; mother, Holly Ryans of Cement; sister, Shyla Ryans of Cement; brother, Mike Ryans of Mexico; nieces and nephews, Michael, Dayken, Brooklyn, Madex, Maverick, Lisa and Vicki. Interment will be under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home. |
