Raymond T. Johnston

Services for Raymond T. Johnston, 82, of Minco will be Sat. July 2, 2005, 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Minco. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Journeycake. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery S.W. of Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnston was born December 11, 1922 at Gracemont to Walter Raymond and Agnes Drucilla (Boyd) Johnston. He died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Chickasha.

Raymond T. Johnston

Funeral services for Raymond T. Johnston, 82 of Minco were held Saturday, July 2, 2005, 10 am at the First Baptist Church of Minco with Rev. Gary Journeycake officiating.

Raymond T. Johnston was born December 11, 1922 at Gracemont to Walter Raymond and Agnes Drucilla (Boyd) Johnston and he died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Chickasha.

Mr. Johnston lived in the Minco and surrounding communities most all of his life. He married Laura Belle Craddock on December 15, 1943 at a ceremony in Verden. He was saved as a young man at the Dutton Nazarene Church and later was baptized along with his wife on August 24, 1980 at the Hazel Dell Baptist Church in Minco. He became a Deacon of the church on April 18, 1982 Mr. Johnston loved hunting and was a retired farmer. Mr. Johnston was preceded in death by parents: Walter and Agnes Johnston; two brothers: Samuel and Leotis Johnston; two sisters: Marguerite Smith and an infant sister.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law: Randy and Lynda Johnston of Verden, Darrel and Jeannie Johnston of Chickasha; three daughters and sons-in-law: Linda and Jim Pooschke of McKinney, Texas, Deborah and Gary Jolly of Minco, Rhonda and Harold Short of Yukon; one brother and sister-in-law: Walter "Buddy" and Yvonne Johnston of Broken Arrow; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Gracie and Gene Johnson of Minco, Darlene Roper of Broken Arrow; thirteen grandchildren: Michael Newell, Lori Newell, Michael Pooschke, Christy Jolly, Heather Jolly, Stacie Short, Holli Short, Mindy Short, Sarah Johnston, Cameron Johnston, Brandon Johnston, Felicia Johnston, and Julie Johnston; one great grandson: Harmon Newell.

Burial in Friendship Cemetery S.W. of Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home.
