Henry was born August 22, 1934 on the river near Tuttle, Grady County. He was the baby of three children and only son born to Carl and Katie Handke. Henry grew up in the Bridge Creek area and attended school there, graduating with the Bobcat Class of 1952. Out of school, he began working as a tile mason with his brother-in-law, Robert Eades. Not too long after, he met a young lady from Okla. City named Eskie Radford. They met at Sherwood Baptist Church and quickly became friends. After leaving the force, he started his own custom dirt work company. His skill and expertise served him well, and his work was highly sought after. When he wasn’t working, he was probably fishing or hunting, and he was an award winning and highly skilled trap shooter. Henry was a man of great faith and a faithful member of Snow Hill Baptist Church in Tuttle. He cherished Eskie, LaDena and family, and he was a proud Papa. He will be dearly missed!
