Warren D. Hacker

Warren D. Hacker, age 77, died Sunday, June 15, 2008 at an Oklahoma City hospital after a sudden illness.

He was born April 17, 1931 at Minco, OK to James and Iva Mae [Mitchum] Hacker and grew up in the Minco area where he attended Minco Schools.

He worked on the family farm before moving to the Mustang area where he worked several years at various jobs, including the fertilizer plant East of Wheatland, Perfection Equipment and Wilson Foods, before starting Hacker Welding in 1962, which became H & H Welding in 1989.

He loved woodworking, old cars, music, fishing, hunting and camping.

He had played many barn dances in his early years where he played guitar and spoons. He even played spoons at Branson.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include wife Patricia "Pat" of the home, two daughters Donna Clark and husband Dan of Cedar Springs, MI, Glenda Smith and husband Marty of Pottsboro, TX and one son Paul Hacker of Mustang. Also by four step sons Leland Fleming and wife Kathy of Conroe, TX, Bruce Fleming and wife Dena of New Caney, TX, Ty Fleming and wife Lisa of New Caney, Brian Fleming and wife Diana of Santa Fe, NM, three brothers Lawrence, Eugene and LeRoy, eight sisters Betty Moore, Violet George, Loretta Perkins, Anola Merkle, Freda Landers, Erma Ransom, Sandra Finch, Nancy Ransom, twenty five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren, with two more on the way and two very special friends Molly and Ginger.

Services will be held at 10am on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Mustang Church of the Nazarene with interment following in Friendship Cemetery near Minco under the direction of McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
