Ossie McKinney
August 17, 1903 ~ April 27, 1986


Funeral services for Ossie McKinney, 82, Tuttle, were Tuesday, April 29, 1986, in the Tuttle Church of Christ with Rev Bill Mayes officiating.

He was born August 17, 1903 in Dibble, OK and passed away April 27, 1986 in Oklahoma City.

He and Lena Eades were married December 25, 1925 in Blanchard, Ok. They lived in the Bridgcreek area until moving to Tuttle in 1948.

He drove a school bus for the Tuttle school system for 17 years.

Mr Mckinney was a member of the Tuttle Roundup Club.

He was preceded in death by 1 son, Joe McKinney, March 27, 1986.

Survivors include his wife, Lena, 2 sons, Ervie & Ron, both of Tuttle, 1 daughter, Thelma Pittenridge of Tuttle, 2 brothers, John of California & Wessie of Tuttle, 4 sisters, Jewel Eades, Pearl Lingle, Lottie Welchel, & Vivian Clark, all of Tuttle, 10 grandchildren, & 8 great grandchildren.

Interment was in Fairview cemetery under direction of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle.

Pallbearers were Ray Gibson, Hubert Patterson, Terry Henderson, Raymond Douglas, Frank Shay, & Charles Porter.

Lena Mae [Eades] McKinney

On Sept. 3, 1911, Lena Mae Eades was born to Robert and Lizzie Mae Eades, in Purcell, Lena passed away on June 25, 2009.

Lena had a very happy childhood. She had two brothers, Polk and Raleigh, and two sisters, Annie and Pearl.

On Christmas Eve of 1925, she married Ossie McKinney. That union resulted in five children, Thelma Monrita, Cleo (who died as a young child), Ervie Gene, Joseph Paul and Ronald Jack. Lena and Ossie raised their family in the Bridge Creek area until 1947 when they moved to Tuttle.

Lena spent most of her adult life working in food service. She owned a cafe in Tuttle, worked for many years in the cafeteria at Tuttle School, also working at O'Mealey's Cafeteria and the YWCA, and in later years ran the Tiger Den with Thelma.

Lena devoted her life to her church and her family. Her strong Christian values guided her through her entire life. She was a member of the tuttle Church of Christ since 1948.

A celebration of her life was held on June 30 at Tuttle Church of Christ. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery.

Lena was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, her husband, Ossie, three sons, Cleo, Ervie and Joe, and one great great granddaughter. she is survived by daughter Thelma Pittenridge of tuttle, Son, Ron McKinney and wife Terris of Amber, 10 greandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

January 4, 1931 ~ June 6, 1991


Funeral service for Ervie McKinney was held Saturday, June 8, 1991 in the Tuttle Church of Christ with Otho Rogers officiating.

Pallbearers were Robert Garrett, Bob Long, Willard Pierce, Dean Stone, Ronald Johnson, Tony Badger.

Music was furnished by the church choir.

Interment was in Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle under direction of the Sevier Funeral Home of Tuttle.
