Gladys Taylor was born on April 5, 1938. She died on January 23, 2006 at her home in Chickasha.

Funeral service for Gladys Josephine Taylor, age 67, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2006, in the Full Gospel Church.

Gladys Josephine Taylor was born the daughter of Albert Anderson and Littie Spencer Anderson on April 5, 1938 in Binger, Oklahoma. She died on January 23, 2006, at her home in Chickasha.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.

Funeral service for Gladys Josephine Taylor, age 67 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2006, in the Full Gospel Church.

Gladys Josephine Taylor was born the daughter of Albert Anderson and Littie Spencer Anderson on April 5, 1938 in Binger, Oklahoma. She died on January 23, 2006, at her home in Chickasha.

Gladys grew up in Binger and graduated from Binger High School. She moved to Chickasha in the late 1950s.

Gladys worked at Chickasha Laundry and worke at Grady Memorial Hospital for 23 years. She was a member of the Full Gospel Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one son, seven brothers, and five sisters.

Survivors include: son & wife: Walter Lee Taylor, Jr. & Candice of Joplin, Missouri; son: Billy Taylor of Westland, Michigan; daughter & husband: Shavonna L. Moore & Joshua of Chickasha; brother: Eddie Anderson of Pauls Valley; brother: Gils Anderson of San Diego, California; sister: Mattie B. White of Chickasha; sister: Lillie Lewis of Lawton; sister: Helen Coffee of Lawton; grandchildren: Desmond, Tamika, Kristan, Mary, Chante, Crystal, Jay Jay, Kalisha, LaQuan, Terrence, Desric, Terrell, Michael, Kobi, Heaven; great grandchild: Marnequa; a host of nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of McRay Funeral Home..

Brenda L. [Oliver] Taylor
October 11, 1947 ~ January 25, 2007


Funeral services for Brenda L. Taylor, 59, of Chickasha will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 31, 2007, in the First and Georgia Church of Christ with Willie Mays officiating.

Brenda Taylor was born October 11, 1947, in Berkeley, California the daughter of Clifford and Alberta [Vinson] Oliver. She died January 25, 2007, in Chickasha after a courageous battle with cancer.

She grew up in the Oakland area, graduating from Castlemont High School. She continued her education at the IBM Key Punch School and was employed with United States Steel Company in California.

During summer vacations, Brenda would come to Oklahoma to visit relatives in Chickasha and this is where she met the love of her life, Harvey Taylor. They were married on February 28, 1969.

Brenda attended U.S.A.O in the late 70's and early 80's. She had been employed with Linville Trailers, Maremont, and Delta Faucet before her retirement in 2006.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bowling, knitting, and she was an avid movie watcher.

She was a member of the First and Georgia Church of Christ Church.

Brenda was preceded in death by her mother; and two brothers: Clifford and Charles Oliver.

Survivors include husband, Harvey, of the home; two sons: Colin and Shedrick Taylor, both of Oklahoma City; daughter, Secrett Taylor, of Chickasha; brother, Leon Oliver, of Chickasha; three sisters and brother-in-law: Arleen Vinson, of Chickasha; Helena Phillips, of Los Angeles, California; and Rebecca and Felix Waller, of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren: Sumaiyah, Khalil, Javon, Micah, and Nicholas.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
