Irene Ethel [MeCoy] Schmidt
March 14, 1922 ~ March 30, 2007


Funeral service for Irene Ethel Schmidt, age 85, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday April 3, 2007 at the Sharon Baptist Church. Irene Ethel Schmidt was born March 14, 1922 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She went to be with her Lord Friday March 30, 2007 in Oklahoma City. She was the daughter of Abner and Sally MeCoy.

Mrs. Schmidt had lived in the Grady County area all of her life. She married Conrad Schmidt on December 30, 1941 She had worked for the Army Jeep Store in Chickasha and also as a care giver. She currently owned and operated Skyview Mobile Home Park east of Chickasha.

She was a member of Sharon Baptist Church and Spring Creek Extension Club.

Her husband Conrad Charles Schmidt preceded her in death April 4, 1964. Her parents and three brothers Roy, Leonard and PeeWee also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons: Don Schmidt and his wife Marilyn of El Reno; Steve Schmidt and his wife Cindy of Chickasha; two sisters: Myrtle Brunson of Yukon; Jean Willmon of Minco; four grandchildren: Joel Schmidt and his wife Kristi of Mustang; Jodie Schmidt of Oklahoma City; Jamie Schmidt of El Reno; Kali Schmidt of Chickasha; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and her Skyview family.

Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
