December 28, 1942 ~ October 27, 2013


Funeral services for Riley Lester Parr, 70, of Yukon, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday October 30, 2013 in the Bible Baptist Church in Chickasha, Oklahoma, with Brother David Brinkman Officiating.

Riley Lester Parr was born on December 28, 1942 in Arapaho, Oklahoma and died on October 27, 2013 at Integris Hospice House in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Riley grew up in the Verden area graduating from Verden High School in 1960. He started out college at Southwestern State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, and then transferred to Central State University where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business. He married Faye M. Askins in Verden, Oklahoma, and from this union came two children Brad and Scott.

Riley loved golf and traveling. He owned Parr Golf Car, worked many years at GMAC and later went on to own and operate Parr Distributing. Riley enjoyed the company of his rescue pup Winston Dale.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Ellav Parr, sister Carol June and niece Andrea West.

Survivors include: two sons; Brad Parr and wife Kimra, Scott Parr and wife Paula, stepdaughter; Lori PaskVan, four grandchildren; Shantel Turner and husband Scott, Benjamin Parr, Steven Parr and Chris Arnold, brother; Dale Parr and wife Frankie, sister; Sheryl West and husband Donald, two nephews Kirk Parr and Greg Oliver and wife Denise, niece; Alisa Cahill, great niece; Olivia Cahill, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
