Anna Blanche [Smith] Myers
June 14, 1914 ~ September 14, 2004


Funeral services for Anna Blanche Myers, 90, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Hatfield will officiate.

Anna Blanche Smith Myers was born June 14, 1914, near Pocasset, Okla., and died on Tuesday, September 14, 2004, in Lufkin, Texas.

Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

Anna Blanche [Smith] Myers

Funeral services for Anna Blanche Myers will be held Saturday, September 18, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Larry Hatfield officiating. Anna Blanche Smith Myers passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2004, in Lufkin, Texas, where she had lived for several years. Anna was 90 years of age.

Born to Frank and Alta Smith on June 14, 1914, near Pocasset, Oklahoma, Anna attended public school at Antioch and Amber. She was a student at the Oklahoma College for Women when she met and married Charles Myers. They were married on June 15, 1935 in Chickasha. Together they farmed, ran a dairy, operated an electric motor and pump sales and service business in Chickasha. Anna also worked several years at Chickasha nursing homes. While in Chickasha she was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Anna was preceded in death by her son Duane in 1938 and her husband Charles in 1994. She and Charles were married 58 years. Her brother, Charles Smith, and her sisters, Norma Hurst and Dorothy Ogle, also preceded Anna in death.

Anna is survived by three children, her son Gale and Mary Myers, of Chickasha, two daughters, Marilyn and David Bennett and Vinita Myers, of Lufkin, Texas, and her sister Margie Lee, of Chickasha. She is also survived by four grandchildren, John and Alicia Bennett, Stephen and Misty Myers, Susan Bennett, Paul and Rita Myers, three great grandchildren, Christine, Anna Marie and Veronica, plus numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
