Terry L. Mayrhofen was born December 7, 1939, and died on Thursday, November 4, 2004.

Funeral services for Terry Lang Mayrhofen, 64, 0f Chickasha, will be held Saturday, November 6, 2004, at 10:30 a.m., in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Mike Bates officiating.

Terry Lang Mayrhofen was born December 7, 1939, in Sentinel, Oklahoma, the son of Chester Mayrhofen and Latrell Bonner Mayrhofen. He died Thursday, November 4, 2004, in Chickasha after a courageous battle with cancer.

Terry grew up in El Reno, Oklahoma. He attended school in El Reno and Calumet. He graduated from Calumet High School.

He joined the U.S. Marines in September of 1958. He served 3 tours in Vietnam. He worked as a parachute rigger and in maintenance control. He was honorably discharged on August 31, 1978. After his retirement with the Marines, he was employed by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections for 13 and a half years, retiring in 2002.

Terry married Judy Dearden on December 5, 1964, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together they had two wonderful children, Tonya and Jeffery. Terry enjoyed fishing, working on computers, and he loved being with his family, especially his two grandchildren. He was also an avid supporter of the Relay for Life program.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Mayrhofen, grandfather and grandmother, Homer and Aylor Bonner, and his father-in-law, John Dearden.

He is survived by his wife, Judy, of the home, one daughter and son-in-law, Tonya and Myron Loman, one son, Jeffery Mayrhofen, one grandson, John Smallwood, one granddaughter, Misty Loman, mother Latrell Mayrhofen, all of Chickasha; two sisters and brother-in-law, Estelle and Robert Bushyhead, of Edmond, Dorinda March, of Lawton; mother-in-law, Marie Dearden, of Chickasha; one uncle and aunt, Leroy and Jean Bonner, of El Reno; a host of nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
