Services for Glenn L. Gibson, 87, of Minco will be Wednesday, April 6, 2005, 10:00 a.m. at the Minco Church of Christ. Officiating will be Jim Ross, Pastor of the Minco Church of Christ and Michael Wright.

Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.

He was born April 8, 1917 in Harmon County, Oklahoma to Charles and Minnie (Dodd) Gibson. He died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at his home in Minco.

Funeral services for Glenn L. Gibson, 87 of Minco were held Wednesday, April 6, 2005, 10:00 am at the Minco Church of Christ with Jim Ross Pastor of the Minco Church of Christ and Michael Wright officiating.

Glenn L. Gibson was born April 8, 1917 in Harmon County, Oklahoma to Charles and Minnie [Dodd] Gibson and he died Sunday, April 3, 2005 at his home in Minco.

Mr. Gibson married Kathryn [Manley] on April 12, 1937 in Oklahoma City.

He had lived in the Minco community since 1946. He built the Gibson Honey Plant in 1946 and established the Cloverbloom Honey brand in Minco.

He was a member of the Church of Christ in Minco.

Mr. Gibson was a past president and executive secretary of the American Honey Producers Association and past president of the American Bee Keeping Federation.

He was a registered Lobbyist in Washington for over 50 years, lobbied for the bee keepers.

He was an avid republican and was the second republican to run for the 6th District Congressman in 1962. Mr. Gibson was a past Mayor of Minco and past school board president and secretary/treasurer.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Minnie Gibson; two brothers: Lawrence and Elmo Gibson; four sisters: Bonnie Sutton, Cleo Brown, Fern Brown, and an infant sister.

Glenn is survived by his wife Kathryn of the home in Minco; one daughter and son-in-law: Glenda and Jim Ross of Minco; one sister: Charleeta Brown of Oklahoma City; three grandchildren: Lucas Marc Ross, Jamie Kay Ross, and Marcus Glenn Ross.

Burial in Evergreen Cemetery in Minco under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home of Minco.
